... decoration to high standards with oak and limestone floors and new comfortable modernist furniture from the top designers.
Dear Skier - Welcome to the web site describing our family apartment in Tignes, Val Claret (the highest of the three linked Tignes resorts).
We bought and fitted out this apartment after many years of ski holidays around the world where we were looking for a number of things which we rarely found in one place. Simply put, they are:
Snow sure high altitude location with ski in ski out access straight onto really good big slopes Cleaned and serviced daily but not catered, allowing us to go out and try the many restaurants and also eat in if we felt like it. We often want to eat with friends and not be tied to chalet feeding or food. Space in which to move and live. (I remember renting a quite expensive apartment in Courchevel 1850 where if you walked in the front door quickly you were almost out the other side.) Really good quality beds and plenty of baths and showers with instant hot water for soaking rarely used muscles. Great views and light. A location close to restaurants, clubs and bars but not part of them, so those who want to sleep can. No need to use transport in the resort (or even walk) to reach the good slopes. Decoration to high standards with oak and limestone floors and new comfortable modernist furniture from the top designers. A good library of DVDs, business, reference and fiction reading, maps, magazines, games and an MP3 connection for iPods in each bedroom and sitting room with newspapers of choice provided daily.
